I shoot Interlocks and Remington bulk bullets often at recued velocities. The Hornadies don't do very well in the .375, but I've got a bunch of them, and they are cheap to shoot. Both do pretty well in the '06. I won't shoot cheap bullets in my target or varmint rifles.

Personally, the Hornady Interlock is my basic practice bullet. If you buy from Higginson's, it's about as cheap as the bulk Remingtons.

I've had no trouble getting 1/2 m.o.a. performance out of ordinary Interlocks, assuming the rifle and load are up to the task. Certainly a solid 1 m.o.a. should be obtainable.

These bullets are also excellent on deer at .30-06 speeds. Though I've shot a ton of these bullets through 7mm and .300 Magnums, I've never actually shot game with these cartridges, so I don't know how ordinary Interlocks would perform at the higher velocities.

If you whack your deer at 50yrds, they most likely will come apart. I've shot deer in the 200yard range with my 300WM, they work just fine.

Almost all my rifles have a "practice" load worked up for it to mimic thier "big game/expensive bullet" load, and I generally use Hornady Interlocks.

I just use Hornady V-Max bullets in the 223, since they are so cheap anyway.
