Not sure what to do with my tikka ctr now

Why do you assume the Bergara will be superior? Shoot them both before deciding.

Exactly! I have owned four T-3 rifles, and a friend has owned two Bergara rifles. All four of my T-3 rifles were easy to develop loads for, and all shot very well, and all were easy to clean. By contrast, the two Bergara rifles, were extremely fussy as to loads, and both fouled badly. After working up loads for these rifles, I much preferred the Tikka rifles.

Easy... Keep both and 308 will always have an edge, this is the nature of the caliber

My vote would go for shoot them both first & then decide which one suits you best before deciding on parting with either, if you must.

NAA.

Rebarrel to one of the longer range cartridges that use the .308 Bolt Face such as 6.5 Creedmoor. Then put your barrelled action into a decent Chassis or stock with some good glass and outshoot as well as out-range that Bergara .308 every time, all of the time. Something like this:

He doesn't like any caliber that isn't military cause zombies and what not. Endless possibilities here with what he could do with this rifle he seems to not know what to do with but he likes 308 only and already knows the Bergara is better

Well, I'm not sure what to suggest, but you have got to figure this out. I mean, what kind of dummy would own more than one rifle in the same chambering...?

When in doubt , keep both as it never hurts to have a spare 308 . As the old saying goes , it is better to have the gun , and not need it , than to need it , and not have it . Plus guns seem to hold their resale value quite well if ever you need the cash in the future .

Each to his OWN, but the significance of a backup rifle , it means that both are the same caliber, and I am Sure that there are lot of Dummy's out there , myself Included that have more then one Rifle in the same Caliber.

LOL
I currently own 22 rifles chambered in 303 British, all different versions. Multiple Garands in 30-06. Decisions are made. Apparently OP doesn’t know what he wants. If he doesn’t want to keep both he has to sit down and make a decision. If going a different caliber it may actually be cheaper to sell one rifle and buy a new rifle.
Multiple 45-70’s. I could keep going on one’s I have multiples of.

was wondering why so many posts happened before someone said this...yes x1000, best make sure this new rig can run with the tikka before even touching a single thing or looking at any single options, and best keep your expectations in check, big shoes to fill

You sound jealous and temperamental.

That’s a ###y rig, I can probably outfit the tikka similar to that.

What do you recommend for a tactical scope in the $600-700 range?

And what do I need to consider when buying a bipod?

How you want the bipod to mount. Arca is a newer thing and easily do able with a KRG stock. The mdt grnd pod seems pretty good for features for money.
