Not Sure What's Causing Failure

AR15 - Close bolt, fire. Bolt then holds open on a still-full mag.

Happened with all 3 PMags I was using today. Most often on first round, but occasionally halfway thru a mag.

First time using the upper, it did not happen with my other upper and these mags. Both uppers are 14" carbine gas length.

I have a BAD Lever on the lower...again, it functioned fine with other upper. I checked the screw tension, that's not a problem.

I also have an Accuwedge in the system...don't know enough about the platform to understand if that may be a cause.

The other thing is that I put on a FAB GL Shock stock, which has a recoil reduction spring in it. Is that additional spring at the back end absorbing too much, causing the bolt to not have enough force going forward?

If I understand correctly it's doing this with just one - or is it both uppers? If it's just the one upper and the lower works fine on the other, that would be the place I'd start checking. You could try removing the BAD and Accuwedge to see if that makes any difference, too. I've heard of a few anomalies with PMAGs when using Norcs (usually the bolt doesn't hold open after the last round), as I have with the BAD.

Thanks, I thought maybe I'd read something about BAD lever's and ????? causing problems. Might have to run my LAR mags in 3 gun tomorrow untested lol.
