Not your average Mosin Sticky Bolt Thread ******FIXED*********

Hey whats up everyone. I got one here for ya!

I have a Russian M44 that i love but man lateley this bolt is sooooo damn sticky...This Mosin has been cleaned like a mofo, polished chamber all the goodes. And the bolt is still sticky..like i mean to the point where this thing wont open at all.

So i went over my buddies to try his bolt in my gun and low and behold...its smooth as silk!!

So my question to you mosin gurus is what could be possibly wrong with my bolt and how/if can i fix it!

Ok guys I took apart my Bolt once again as this is pissing me off and noticed that the round part on the firing pin was all rough! I dont know how bcuz I polished this when I first bought my mosin...so what i did was take some 1000grit sand paper and smoothed it out....and then i polished it with my dremel. I put everything back together and BAM!!! thing works like a charm now!

Pics of your bolt would help. Did you completely disassemble your bolt to clean it? You saw anys burr on bolt components?

thx for the quick reply...ya i took it apart again and no burs or left over cosmoline...so what I did is I sanded that ROUND part on the firing pin once again and polished it with my dremel and WOW! what a difference....Silky smooth now...it must have been binding!
