I recently purchased a restricted - got my short term ATT to take it home along with "notice of transfer" for the particular firearm. I already have a long term ATT for my club. Can I now take it to my club using the "notice of transfer", since all the info is on there, or do I have to wait until I get the official registration documents?

Thanks for the assistance.

Congrats on the new gun. You are good to go with just the notice of transfer.

The paper certificate will be mailed to you within the next couple of days and then you will use it during transport. Then, just file the transfer notice away.

Have fun at the range.

Its a bit of a grey area. The NOT - Buyer (not the same as NOT-Seller) means that the certs are printed and on their way via a seperate process. So the gun is registered to you and has been approved by the CFC and your CFO.

If it was me, I'd risk it.

"How many times have you been pulled over and your firearms and all paperwork examined at the side of the highway enroute to the shooting range?"

Me neither ;)
I'd go :)

Thanks gentlemen,

Just wanted to make sure I was thinking straight. I've never been pulled over, but there is always a first time, and I don't need any hassles.

Its not a grey area. The notices have your new reg. cert.# printed on them. Call and ask... Even the CFC says you are good to go.

It has all the info you'll have on the certificate and it states the certificate is mailed to you.

The info being:
- cert #;
- FA ID #;
- make;
- Model;
- S/N;
- class

It also tell you you'll need an ATT to take possession of to transport it.

Since you got the LTATT you are good to go unless GTA LTATTs have to have your FAs printed on them.
