Tanker? I believe only five were made, and they never got issued.
I would hate trying to climb out of a tank hatch dragging an M1.

If I recall, "tankers" weren't really intended for tank. Paratroops was what I seem to remember?

The first one was done at the Manila Ordnance shops in 1945.Probably intended for jungle warfare.
