so my brother and I are going out tomorrow morning. I went to make sure my scope is sighted in. the retricle is not moving when I went to adjust it. shooting way high. my choices are to hold really low or put the iron sights back on.
I have a buckstalker, and am shooting 100gr triple 7, with a 240 gr bullet.

my question is, if I put the iron sights back on, what is the approximate yardage for the lowest mark on the rear elevator? there are 20 hash marks on the rear sight.
Any help is appreciated, as hunting with my brother is truly on of life's great pleasures.

I say put on the rear sight and treat it as a 25 to 50 yard shot only. Enjoy the day and spending time with your brother. That's really what's important.

If the scope came as a package with the gun its probably the cheapest Chinese scope they could find so its probably the cause. Iron sites are no problem if your eyes are good and it only takes a few shots to line them up.
