I think I check my computers calender 2 or more times a day just to make sure I havn't missed it :runaway:

It's funny what this time of year does to a hunter/gun enthusiast...

-take gun out of case/safe
-clean it
-read CGN
-put back in case/safe
Next day
-take gun out of case
-check scope
-read CGN
-admire, smile, pretent to shoot dog thinking it's the biggest buck anyone has seen
-put back in case
Next Day:
-look at gun case...and want to take out gun
-read CGN
.....and on and on.....

I had the same problem and cured it with a bow and muzzleloader. Im in the woods from Sept 1st- Dec 17 :D

Yup, I've got a bow...still need a muzzleloader, though. But, the archery season is open right through the muzzleloader season, so, I can still hunt then!

The weather is nice, too. No bugs, cool, crisp days...doesn't get much better! That said, though, I still love hunting during rifle season as much as I do any other time, regardless of the weather. I have some great memories hunting when it's -30C during rifle season, and other rifle seasons when there was snow on the ground, but it got warm enough for spiders to come out and start making webs!

It truly is a great time of year!
