Nova Special Purpose Vs. Mossy 590A1 18.5"

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a shortie in 12 ga just for weekend fun shooting, home def, and wilderness protection. If I had the $$ I'd get the M4, but that can only be my dream gun for now. I've narrowed my choices down to these two guns, the price is about the same. Both can have Ghost ring sights. Nova is 4+1 round and Mossy is 6+1 round I think. I've heard good things about both guns. Can anyone give me some feedback on these two guns.

I'm looking for specific things like felt recoil, malfunctions, slug accuracy, and fit and finish comparisons, cycling, feeding problems, availability of accessories, etc.

ive searched ALOT about the nova, most i can tell is that it has no choke for one. but its super cool looking, onepeice polymer, because its polymer its light, but the recoil is huge, dont buy it unless you get the mercury recoil reducer, you can also get a mag extension on it to fit 6+1 3 1/2 mags, no malfunction i found from my searches, guys would drop it in dirty ponds by mistake several times and worked fine, im ordering mine from wolverine! awesome gun, cant wait to get mine. Dont know anything about the mossy

I've been considering a Stoeger P-350 over the Nova. It's a close cousin of the Nova and about $130 bucks cheaper. You can get the mercury reducer also for the Stoeger. Stoeger also comes with 5 chokes. I remember reading somewhere (I really can't remember where) but Beretta chokes will fit the Nova.

I just got to get my lazy backside over to the gun shop to shoulder both and see what they feel like in person
