So, I just got my RIA 1911 in and I'm playing around with it. This being my first 1911, things get a little interesting. The recoil spring plug goes flying when I disassemble but that's okay.
My problem lies with the Novak 8 rd magazine that comes with the mag. I took it apart but I somehow also managed to get the spring the fly out. The spring itself is wider on one end than the other. Problem is, I don't know which end is up against the follower and which is against the base plate.
Can anyone help me out? Also, how good are these mags compared to say a Mec-Gar one? Thanks.
