Haven't seen one of these up since September...thought I'd start off this month's.

1940 Tula Mosin Nagant refurb from Al Flaherty's. Metal was in great shape and all matching with no electropencil or force matching...just caked in cosmoline. After a quick cleaning I decided to tackle the stock and used some Citristrip to remove the horrible flaking shellac. Recoated the stock in a few coats of Tung Oil. Used this stuff on an old Cooey .22 and the results were quite pleasing.

Sten MKII - Longbranch 1943. Picked this up through a trade with another CGN member. Nice matching old school dewat for my 1944 No 4 Mk1 Longbranch Enfield.

Zurich state police surplus Sig Sauer P225

Mosin 1944 carbine

Tula SKS

Stgw 90 aka SIG 550, the rest of the rifle is now being converted to semiauto and will be returned to be in about 8 weeks.
This was my service rifle for the past 11 years and will go over into my posession as I retire from the army by the end of the year.

Nice little batch of rifles you have there. I only wish our lame-ass country had the gumption to operate as yours!

Now the sad thing is that most people don't keep their anymore. We were about 40 guys at the ceremony and only about 5 kept their pistol or rifle.
 
Sometimes you look for years and then all of sudden you find two or more of exactly what you were looking for! That was the case for me with M1A1 Paratrooper Carbines.

While technically an October purchase, I picked up a second all original first-run Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine. The new addition is the one on top, the bottom one I got in the spring. This M1A1 jumped with the Canadian politician Leo Landreville's brother on D-Day and he carried it until he was wounded in the Normandy fighting. He brought the rifle home with him in his duffle bag. I still have Leo's old registration certificate from his brother gave it to him. This is still an ongoing research project.



I'm hoping to do a thread on these rifles once I've accumulated enough information.
