November 2013 Purchases

Picked up this lonely baby. M1981 made in Tula in 1915 "Peter the Great", finned, not sure if bot originally or forced matched.

Haven't seen one of these up since September...thought I'd start off this month's.

1940 Tula Mosin Nagant refurb from Al Flaherty's. Metal was in great shape and all matching with no electropencil or force matching...just caked in cosmoline. After a quick cleaning I decided to tackle the stock and used some Citristrip to remove the horrible flaking shellac. Recoated the stock in a few coats of Tung Oil. Used this stuff on an old Cooey .22 and the results were quite pleasing.

Sten MKII - Longbranch 1943. Picked this up through a trade with another CGN member. Nice matching old school dewat for my 1944 No 4 Mk1 Longbranch Enfield.

Sorry for the crappy pic I just took it now with my iPhone.

So many items in this photo, I'd like to know more about everything!

The nazi chicken, the mini cannon and the field telephone... Did you ever manage to make it work?
