*****NOVEMBER PURCHASES*****

Not all of these are Nov. purchases. My son was born quite a bit early and we ended up spending a fair bit of time with him in hospital. As such I haven't had time to post them as I received them. Fortunately all is well now and I was able stay on top of the deals I had started and make a few others.
The Canadian content of my collection took a huge jump!
From Left:
Canadian Marked 1918 No.1 MkIII* made at Enfield
1945 and 1944 Long Branch CNo.7Mk.1.(.22 Long Branch marked)
1942 MP marked Long Branch No.4 with it's serial number confirmed in Arms of the Mounted Police
1945 Long Branch No.4 FTR'ed in 1948 with British property marks. I didn't have any FTR's in the collection so why not a Long Branch?
1951 NZ marked BSA No8.
Very nice E.A.L.

Congratulations, glad everything went well ... :D

Now you have about 18-25 years before you and your wife get your lives back.... It has its moments, but it's worth it in the long run. Particularly as grandparents where you get to load the grandkids up with sugar and then send them home to get even.

BTW, nice looking Enfields too .... :)

Badger

Not a gun but certainly related to guns, and definitely milsurp! It's a 1945 dated, /|\ marked, black armoured corps beret with XII Manitoba Dragoons Scully-marked badge. Two of my great uncles were 12D doing recce in Staghounds for II Corps. One made it back, the other (the younger brother) was KIA on 5 Mar 45. I have shoulder titles, corps patches, pictures of each of them, pictures of their Sqn, a certificate of the lake in Manitoba named after my uncle plus a bunch of other 12D stuff....but I was always missing the beret. Not anymore. These are pics from the auction - now awaiting delivery.

I'm quite a happy boy!

Nice one airwapiti. Where are you located? I may be able to scrounge some surplus ball for you.

Here's my two November buys:

Smith and Wesson 4006

40061.jpg

Finn '42 M91 Mosin Nagant. From it's markings it seems to be a post-war M91 with one of the "B" marked foreign contract barrels. Appears unissued or very well FTR'd.

I just picked up a few more of these.

Kinda goes with SKScanuck's post.

You need to have one for each rifle.:D

I did also get a CZ858-2 as well....but it's not really milsurp.
