Anyone know of any dealers here north of the border that would have a Noveske KX3 Pig in stock.?I have checked all the main players but all seem to be sold out at the moment. Kinda need it ASAP.

I've done a lot of research on it, and a majority of people seem to think that it's a waste. Lots of money to add a lot of weight to the front of your rifle, and the benefit is questionable.

If you're adding 3" to the front of your SBR because you're worried about sound and flash, why not just get a mid-length barrel to begin with for a lot less money and weight?

I run a pig on my Infidel now and it works great for shooting an improvised prone position, no cutting ruts in the grass as most of the blast is sent forward. I am putting together another upper now with a 10.3" bbl and a 13" rail. I kinda like the way it looks with just a 1/2" of the comp sticking out past the rail.

Have you thought about the ATRS Eliminator? I have both the KX3 and the ATRS and the latter is better IMO. It is a little heavier/pricier but I doubt you'd be disappointed.

The KX-3 doesn't add a huge amount of length and weight . Its only about 1" longer than typical FH / brakes...and the additional weight is less than 3 or 4" of barrel

At any rate, you may want to look at the PWS CQB which is in stock at Questars

I have both KX-3 and the PWS on 7.5" and 10.5" barrel. I prefer the PWS .

It's also only 2.5" so only a bit longer than typical FH and actually same length of many brakes such as the Surefire MB556K

My 7.5 with the PWS is much nicer to shoot than my 10.5 and 14.5's with the Battlecomp

Huge reduction of flash ( even night firing ) . Many of the linear comps just push the concussion / flash forward

The PWS version is better at flash supression than the Noveske pig, comes appart easier for cleaning too.
