Hello CGN'ers.

Im wanting to get a Noveske MUR upper for my build. I have read however that you become limited to only certain handguards with that upper.

Im looking for people that have experience with these uppers? Is it worth getting the Noveske MUR and the NSR handguard? Or are there any other handguards that will work with this upper?

Or VLTOR MUR, I read that this one is compatible with most handguards out there. But i really like the Noveske.

Any help is appreciated.
 
The Noveske version has a hole for the anti rotation pin of their own NSR rail system

Problem is receiver just below the top is too fat for "anti rotation tabs "

For example the Centurion CMR , Troy one piece etc has these tabs. IMO not a good idea to remove the tab

Rails such as the KAC URX , PRI don't have the tabs and will work

Rails like the DD Lite II , RIS work but be careful since the capscrews that go between the ring and the forend (that squeeze their barrel nut ) come very close to rubbing . You will need ball head Allen key !

Its probably easier to find the Vltor anyways, and the only advantage of the Noveske is the relief for the NSR anti rotation pin
