I like it. The hardest part of installing it was getting the previous foreend off.
I really like the feel of the polymer panels you can get. And the integrated hand stop is a nice touch, though I took the rear one off, it didn't really work out with my hand positioning.

I wonder how the 7" will fit with the front sight,after I saw theses rails I really want one over a DD as I don't want a lot of extras on the rail.Its my first AR so a little intimidated about installing the barrell nut.

Nice build , any issues with those mags?
Haven't taken them to the range yet, but they seem okay just playing around in the house so far.

Not a fan since you need to drill into your upper receiver to insert the anti-rotation pin. If this is not installed there's a chance for the rail to rotate if twisted with force.
Gieselle rail have more robust setup. BCM keymod rail looks promising as well.

To me the NSR stands way out from the pack of rails, although there are other great rails out there. The combination of weight, strength, low profile, modularity are untouched, for now anyways. The BCM rail is supposedly even lighter, and should be awesome, as pretty much everything BCM's usually is.
It a design used to construct shelves in a closet.
It just another gimmick to sell "NEW" Rails to everyone. Everybody has the $300 Rail on their gun, so lets shave off all the rails, put holes in them...call it 'Keymod' and than charge even more for it. Less work, less product, less time More Profit for us.
2-3 years from now there will be another revelation to sell everyone New Rails Again!
The best part is. They shave the rails off the $300 rail....and charge the same or more for it. THEN!! Then They charge You MORE Money to buy Rail Pieces to put them Back On ! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That shows how gullible we are.
Why would you buy a keymod rail and put rail sections on it? That really would be short bus action...the keymod system exists specifically to ELIMINATE rails.

Take it easy, now. I was asking an honest question.
I get what you are saying, however, the major selling point of the NSR is that:
a) it's very slim
b) it's very light
c) it's strong
d) it eliminates rails where they are not needed
and finally,
e) even where one does need to attach accessories, it can do away with rails. (e.g. Light mount rings that go directly in the keymod slots). This gets the accessory closer to the gun.
Nobody in their right minds is going to buy a keymod rail, and then bolt railz all over the place. Obviously they would just get a conventional quad rail for that.
I My original question was if there is anything inherently flawed about the keymod attachment interface itself.
Also, the NSR is not 300 in the US, only up here. It is also not that far out of line with what other high-end AR manufacturers charge for their rails. Noveske usually charges a premium for their wares. Alternatives exist for those that want them.
