Noveske/Vltor Lowers

Is there any real major differences between the Noveske (Gen1/Gen2) N4 lowers? I can't seem to find any online info or pics showing the differences.

I'm aware Noveske & Vltor are basically are almost one & the same, looking at both brands for a build. While I know I couldn't go wrong with either, it would be good to note any differences up front.

Gen2 are billet and have a flared magwell. Vltor are forged I beleive and they have the oversize mag latch which is quite unique.

Actually the Gen-2 noveske lowers (the FFL) ARE forged, with special dies for the shape. The name is: Flared-Forged-Lower. They do state it on the website.

They look like awesome lowers.
 
Both are forged as noted above.
The Gen II has a pronounced flared magwell.
The Gen II has a (flat) integrated trigger guard.
The Gen II has engraved markings.
The Gen II is also heavier.

The Gen I is the classic AR15 design.
The Gen I has stamped markings.

Noveske finishes the lowers second to none. NO rough edges from the die (form).

I cannot recommend a better finished lower. Gen II are new, different and choosing between the 2 is basically what you want your lower to look like and the money you have to spend.
 
The price for the noveske and vltor lower should be very similar. We will be receiving a small batch of stripped Noveske Gen 2 lower.

The vltor lower got the oversize mag release that I really like.

However, Noveske's lower got the flared magwell that I really like as well.

Too bad we can't combine both.
 
Chris, any way we can have our names put down for a pre-order for the gen 2 Noveske's? I will take 2 of them and am willing to prepay even if you want.

Stripped Lowers or the same as the Vltors your currently offering Chris (Buffer assmb incl)?

No worries 8 ball, your inquiry has just piqued my interest even more (and probably others) :D
 
We will be taking order soon. We will be selling the stripped receiver only but we do offer the Vltor RE-1 milspec tube and CMT LPK that people can put together themself.
