Now I know why the Allies won the war...

The P-38 wasn't designed to win the war, but it is accurate enough for shooting someone in the head when they are kneeling right in front of you.

True enough.

I've got a P1 (essentially the same gun) and it's less accurate than my M9, but it's not too bad with WWB 115g. Shoots a bit high and left. This would not be a problem in the above stated scenario.

Oooos, Me bad. Missed the P38 part. What year is the gun? Mine's a 80's vintage referb P1. Still I had the 1.5' groups to begin with.

The one I shot a couple weeks ago shot all into a teacup at 50 ft.....Jammed with 147 TC bullets didn't like the shape for reliable feeding. The Luger was slightly better.......Harold

That's just a bit harsh.

NAA.

Yes, and they had even harsher ways of dealing with some prisoners.

European (CIP spec) ammunition should provide the closest match to the ammo it was designed for, something along the lines of S&B's 124 grain would be the closest factory load. If you can get some 9mm NATO it should purr.

Looking back thru my notes, my group size shrunk to paper plate size using a 124gr BDX bullet above 4.2 gr Win 231. Approx 1000'/sec.

Anyone know what 124gr factory loads are available? I have never see any on the store shelves but then again I don't look too close.

S&B, American Eagle and WWB are all available in 124 grain, the US stuff is nowhere near as stout as the S&B
