Now in Canada NR GSG-16 22LR and magazines in stock... 305.11USD

Damn guys, stop complaning about plastic or metal ou whatever...go on youtube for review,They praise the GSG 16 as a really fun gun.

THIS is the first rifle/SMG non-restricted of MP5 we ever had.

Technically the GSG 16 is not a variant or modified version of the MP5 as then it would be prohibited . I think everyone should be careful if they say and advertise it as a MP5 or variant . Just count your lucky blessing that HK sued GSG and the GSG 5 and that was settled in the lawsuit in 2009 . So they made this version not to be a MP5 as HK would sue them again . So we ended up with a non variant of a variant of a MP5 . https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/10/17/hk-and-ati-settle-lawsuit-gsg-5-sales-will-cease-shortly/

So what’s the Canadian total shipped to your door (roughly) for those that ordered one? I was just on the website trying to get a final quote in USD but it kept wanting a dealers address to complete the order.

305+25 = 330$ US
Official conversion rate is 1.32, but your credit card will take an extra 1-3% on top of that, so let's say 1.34 (you can call your CC company to ask)
330*1.34 = 442$
For that price, the gun makes it to alberta. Then you have to add shipping and taxes. Tax is 5%, shipping by IRG from alberta to you is on the extreme side, so I'd say about 35$ (you won't know until they are ready to ship, but 35$ is in the right ballpark).
Total:
Taxes: 442 * 1.05 = 464$
Shipping: 464 + 35 = 499$

That's an estimate, to get the exact price you'd need your exact CC exchange rate (varies by company and by card), and the exact shipping price. But 500$ +/- 20$ should be about it.

Awesome thanks! Doing the math since this comes with only 1 mag, while Canadian market ones come with 2- but may be here a couple months after these ones.

In regards to Warranty Service when you purchase a firearm or accessory from IRUNGUNS:

There have been many rumours circulating about the warranty service that IRUNGUNS customers receive whenever they require warranty service. We would like to take a minute to establish the facts and explain what our customers can expect when they purchase firearms from IRUNGUNS.

IRUNGUNS holds numerous licenses and has the capability to export, back to the U.S., any firearm that we initially imported into Canada. This means that, in the unlikely event that your firearm would require warranty service, it will be returned directly to the manufacturer’s plant for any work that is covered by their policy, including any recall that should occur at any time after your initial purchase, including voluntary upgrades.

There are many advantages to having your firearms serviced by the manufacturer for warranty, as opposed to sending them to a warranty center in Canada.

First technicians who are employed by large firearm manufacturers undergo hundreds of hours of training. In addition to being formally educated gunsmiths and machinists, they usually specialise in certain models of firearm and work on those same types of firearm on a daily basis.

Second, they have all the proper tools at their disposal and parts in stock to keep the turnaround times as short as possible. They also have the original equipment used to finish or coat the firearms and can correct any esthetic issue that would have presented during service. Occasionally there are very large recalls which may cause delays in service but, generally speaking, the firearms that are sent for warranty are usually returned within a matter of weeks.

Third, in the event of extreme issues or critical failures, the manufacturer has the ability to completely replace a firearm. In the case of restricted firearms, should this happen to you, we will handle all the processing and ensure that the new one is registered to you before it arrives in Canada.

Consequently, there are many advantages to purchasing firearms from a specialized importer like IRUNGUNS. As long as the issue that arises with your firearm are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty policy, IRUNGUNS will ensure that it is serviced correctly by the manufacturer.

The IRUNGUNS Team

Back when I had my Troy PAR bought from the first pre order to Canada...when IRG's was the first to bring them to Canada, another Canadian vendor who scooped up the so called "rights" to them promptly posted threads about how any "grey market" items that weren't purchased from them ....wouldn't be covered by warranty.

The audacity to make such an agregious comment to people having legally purchased the item (with their hard earned cash) "BEFORE" they even had the so-called rights.....was arrogant and desperate...to say the least.......not to mention pretty low class.

I was so pissed off when I read that, I called Troy industries in the states and talked to their customer service. The person on the phone was shocked that a dealer of theirs would make that claim...and gave me the number for their regional manager..and asked me to call him personally and explain what I told them.

I called them ...he was a super nice guy on the phone, he said that Troy loved their Canadian customers and under "no circumstance would Troy not cover one of their products from Canada" ....and that all I would have to do is have it sent back thru the FFL vendor I purchased it from, as to expediate cross-border dealings to get it back to them.

He also said he was planning on looking into my complaint very seriously.....and thanked me for taking the time to call him.

That came straight from the so-called "horses mouth"

So believe IRG's when they say that they have you covered warranty wise, and I myself would have "zero" issues at all purchasing from IRG's on any day of the week ...and any product...as they are an awesome TOP NOTCH company to deal with

My 2 cents :)

Ya the warranty is likely fine, but I bet if you send it in, by the time they export it to the states, send it to the dealer, get it fixed, and than export it back to Canada, kiss your gun goodbye for 6 months.

LOL ya I had a kel tec warranty take over 9 months so EVEN IF it takes 6 months (which I highly doubt) still beats what i had to deal with here in Country

I remember the ISSC mk fiasco,i too got one and i even had the "update" kit that was suppose to take the bugs out, never happened.

But i did look at the GSG 16 review and it seem to be realable

But.... pot metal is pot metal, and plastic is plastic..... I’m not gonna step in the same hole twice....

Most Canadian warranty centers are very small operations and any warranty issue is almost guaranteed to take 6 months, no matter where you purchased the firearm. Getting warranty service on a firearm purchased in Canada is always a mess.

I'm much happier to wait the same amount of time only to have my gun serviced by people who see 50+ times the number of guns per year as the Canadian tech would.

The ones that are left in stock are polymer, we are currently sold out of the metal mags.

Have a great weekend.

The IRUNGUNS Team

I've tried for 2 days to call multiple times and email you about my mag order, saying I wasnt sure which I had purchased and wanted to make sure they were the metal ones.

No one has picked up the phone nor emailed back.

Youza.

You should have called the US store like they told everyone to as they were too busy shipping the current orders out of the Canadian store

You still on this? Stop being soo sensitive. You're the male version of Karen wishing to speak to someones supervisor.

It was stated quite plain and simple that any firearms not purchased through Canadian distribution would have to be warranted through whoever imported it eg. IRG. No one said the guns wouldnt carry a warranty, just that you have to get them taken care of by who you bought them from.

No idea who karen is.....just adding my thoughts on an experience directly related to the thread topic..

After I purchased a rifle I was rightfully concerned that i might be screwed after dumping 1600.00 into a rifle that i was really happy about....only to be told that i wouldnt get warranty coverage.

I then took it upon myself to get the info from the straight from the source....

and i only thought that sharing my previous experience might sway some fears in others about warranty coverage....and add some support for IRG's

This is a forum for an exchange of thoughts and ideas, about a current topic that the forum is covering....if that triggers you...then you might want to quickly grab a puppy to pet (don't get option anxiety about what breed...they are all cute.. any will suffice for a snowflake emergency)...some crayons...and go immediatly to your safe space....and relax :)
