It makes it restricted, as it no longer falls in the 26 or whatever overall length. Apparently you have x number of days to change the status to reflect reality though, but the consensus is you'd get in trouble if you got caught with it short in that window.

They're lots of fun with the stock on though, don't worry. I got one last time round. Beats a Fox 40 bear whistle blueberry picking hands down.

ok back to barrel length lol sorry to hijack , i had a reciever with barrel that was registered as non restricted when i got the certificate, then i took a 12.5 inch barrel and put it on that reciever, the cert says barrel length greater than 4xx mm's but my overall length is still 26 or more. Is it now restricted ? and should i call the cfc or don't worry about it because the barrel i used was a factory made aftermarket barrel ?

12.5 inch ghost ring

I went with the 12.5 inch with ghost ring sights. It is going to be my new gun that I use at work for beaver control. Nice and compact for in the truck.
