Some people prefer having a mid-length not a carbine gas system. That said, it sounds like NS is bringing in multiple lengths.
Plus if you ever want to take a course, or go to a competition, you can't bring anything under 16" to the USA.

As if any of us take our guns south of the border.? We all pack up our AR's once a month and go and shoot some paper.

A true Northern Guard would be a DMR. Lots of space up here .......... 308 to boot.....and Non-Restricted.
 
It would be nice to find out. This is a sweet looking piece of kit. It is always nice to see new products here in Canada, considering how much doesn't reach us.

Your local dealer can contact North Sylva to stock the Troy Northern Guard and accessories, I know that SFRC Ryan had some as well as P&D Phil...

North Sylva hosted their annual dealer show and I took some pictures of the Troy booth, the new 308 Troy rifle perked my interest, and then the little beauty above with the new keymod rail - the M7A1 CQB. The current key mod rail on the CQB will lose the rear bottom rail but will retain it on the Troy 308 keymod rail.

Carbine are a plenty and are available for delivery, accessories have also arrived and dealers placed orders, the M7A1 CQB was brought up to showcase the new rail, and FYI we are the first ones to see it in the market, i was extremely impressed with the new carbon fibre rail also on display...
