Unfortunate that it had a visit from Bubba. A original one is worth alot of money but not this one. TOO many of these were sporterized countless years ago.

Yeah ,I know I'm just being a sarcastice old SOB tonight. If only it still had it's full wood, leather sight protector and saddle slings. Now that's what dreams are made of.

Can someone tell us what that rifle is actually worth? I have the seller on the line and he didn't know.

Cantom, thanks for straightening me out on this rifle. I didn't know that it's been chopped, I thought that it was a shorter barrel version meant for saddle holsters (ok, I admit I'm a noob )

I appreciate this forum. Too bad that I have to wait 160 hours before I can edit my post! I would knock nine hundred off of the price.....

Cheers

You can edit it at any time. It's only bumping it you have to wait for.

Indeed U-47, unfortunately finding the parts to restore this LEC is in the "impossible" neighborhood. Now, with a nice Monte-Carlo butt stock or a Lee Speed butt stock, and a clean, matching forend, it would be a neat sporter. But as is, it's pretty much worth the same as any old sporter Lee Enfield, maybe a bit more.

It might be worth up to the $300 range depending if someone like Bob Fortier wanted to take on a project and restore it.As it sits I would say maybe in the $225 to $250 range.
