"Now" the Cyp. hills cougars "weren't introduced"

Wasn't sure where to put this.

In one of last weeks medhat news there was another article on the cougars in the Cypress Hills, mostly about the girl studying them. In the article it stated (not verbatum), "It's important to know that the cougars were Not introduced".

They were introduced, what, 3 yrs ago now? I remember seeing the article in the very same paper, and if I remember correctly it was 6 breeding pairs. Wolves were introduced what, 10 yrs ago S. of Etzikom(at least that's where we found out about it)
Appears those involved are burning the key to pandora's box.

Should be verifiable under a freedom of information request. All transplants require a permit and a management plan. Call the the wildlife bio for the area and ask him.
