When the front and rear sights are level and I'm shooting 124g, the front sight covers the poi, however, with 147g, the poi shifts upwards (expected) just the right amount so that the poi is just slightly above the front sight. Exactly where its supposed to be. Are there consequences to feeding my pistol a steady diet of 147g or should I be looking into modifying/replacing my sights?

You can feed it any possible grain 9 mm factory made ammo with no worries.

Depending of the amount of powder and caliber, the POI will change.

I hope you don't plan to change sights position for each ammo type you fire, just make a small chart what ammo has what POI with sights at bulls eye.
