I'm going to send my NP-29 to Gunnar at Armco for his $100 tune-up plus maybe a Wilson barrel bushing.

I just want to improve the trigger and maybe accurize it a bit with a better fitting bushing.

Anything else I should get done while it's at Gunnars? It is 100% reliable with both ball and JHP's box stock.

Right now it is just a paper puncher for me but I might try to get it onto my ATC just for fun. I have my G17 on my current ATC.
 
Sights for sure, but I wouldn't spend a ton of money on sights, just something a little higher and easier to see.
I think he looks at lug engagement when he does the tune up, sometime a longer link is required for better lockup.
 
Good sights

What are some good sites for the 1911? Are they a matched pair or individula parts? Are there any good reasons to have the dovetail cut in for the front sight? That raises another two part question.

1) What is the best sights to put on without any machining.

2) What are the best to put on with machining.
