Recently snagged an NP-58 at marstar, for $330 it was hard to say no to.

I have a few questions as it seems there's few threads on them, even fewer recent ones.

Sights - I understand that SIG sights won't fit. Are there any options?

Magazines - I've seen mixed reports, can any recent owner confirm whether SIG mags will fit? Seems the Norc ones are hard to find.

Holsters - any issues with fitment to a standard P226 holster?

Tips - any tips from owners out there? The major one I've seen is to spend a good amount of time working in the trigger. Anything else?

Responses are much appreciated.

Sights - I have heard that the Meprolite sights fit ok. Most that I have heard of are a loose fit. Loctite has solved that. I'm guessing that with Norinco production tolerances, some will fit better than others some of the time.

Mags - Sig mags will work. I believe that they need to have the top part of the mag catch filed a teeny bit to lock.

Holsters - 226 holsters will work fine. As you Norinco is railed, just make sure you get a holster for a railed 226. The factory Sig holster required a little tweeking, but that because it was rubbing on the slides serrations. Blade-Tech was a perfect fit.

Tips - Just one. Grease the slide, oil everywhere else. Unless it's cold, then oil the slide.

Awesome. Checked out a legit 226 at the local shop today and it seemed to be along the lines of what you said for mags, I think minor tweaks will be needed.

Tested an Airsoft 226 holster and it fit like a champ.

Thanks for the lube tips.

I have a NP58 and am leaning more toward the Trueglo sights. I see in the pics that they seem to have a set screw that i would assume takes the play out of it. Now I'm sure that someone has tried installing Trueglo or Meprolight sights and I am wondering which one is more recommended for fit. I don't plan on shooting at night that is why I'm leaning more toward the Trueglo
