NP22 Crack reciever

Hey Dave,

Had a NP22 failure just recently, at about the 2k round mark ... http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564573

I had to cut my losses and just save what I could from the rest of the gun and sell as spare parts, along with the attendant accessories. It will cost you more in emails, trouble in procuring the parts, postage and shipping to rectify your problem. Cheaper to buy a new one.

Don't get me wrong, give it a try ... just a heads up on my experience. :(

That appears to be the old style before the upgrade with the steel insert rails. It does happen on SIGs as well.

If it is the insert style, we have a frame here that you are welcome to.

this i realize i have it posted on the ee for sale also its the older stile whats your frame worth all the other parts would work would they not?

I think it's time to show their IRON CLADDDDDDDDDDD WARRANTYYYYYYYYY
http://www.marstar.ca/main/ironclad-guarantee.shtm

After all, there is no FINE PRINT !!!
The Fine Print: there is absolutely NO fine print in our Ironclad Guarantee!

try using the last paragraph :
All warranty condition apply ONLY to the original private purchaser (not dealers). Warranty issues or claims from a third party purchaser will be considered on a case by case basis.

You can have the frame, gratis. But you will need the insert to make it work with all your other parts.

Gentlemen... the thread has peaked my interest ..what Norinco pistols are made of alum alloy? NP22 of course.... what other models.? I thought all the import Norinco's were made from steal..Im curious as I have a few on my wish list and would now like to check out the reliability some more.. any other experiences.

Np-22 and 34 are Sig clones. the early NP-22 and 34's were prone to this (ask me how I know) but they redesigned them with steel wings on the locking block that goes into the frame. All of the railed versions have the winged locking block to my knowledge. I do plan on getting the newer NP-34 this summer.

Yup thats why you stay away from the original NP-22's and go only with the new versions.

Lol it is a nasty crack and im sure not the safest thing in the world in my opinion the only thing more dangerous than a loaded weapon is a loaded weapon that is faulty in some way im glad i found it when i did and not discovered it while using the pistol lol could have been very dramatic

i have a norc, but its an ar15...i m very satisfied with it, i considered going for a norc pistol too, but looking at this thread, i wont be buying a pistol from norinco anytime soon... someone i know also had problems with the cz clone...in fairness, i hear a lot of good things about the 1911's.... so i guess you need to get past experiences from others on this forum... one constant remains though...when one is on a budget; you cannot beat norinco's prices...

Norinco sells a lot of firearms in Canada. If they value the Canadian market they should rectify this situation.

You do know that Norinco is like the single biggest arms producer for the PLA right? I think the only reason they entertain Canadian shooters is in the event that the US market opens up again to Chinese gun imports they'll have something to springboard with.

Big dave is right about the op finding the problem before firing the last round...[/QUOTE]

I am the original poster and I didnt post this here to complain i simply posted this here asking John a question and i think its gotten out of hand I in no way am trying to give Marstar or Norinco a bad name I have other Norc's and have had no problems at all.And I have been in contact with Marstar and am being helped with my original question.
