So i finally made it to the range to try my norinco p226 clone. Ive been working so much that I haven't had a chance to shoot it since I bought it in June. I did order some extra mags from Corwin Arms.
So I have to say it functioned flawlessly and is reasonably accurate. The trigger is gritty and I will have to get the short reset trigger kit. I read that the sig mags from Corwin Arms might need a little bit of filing to work in this gun but that was not the case and worked perfectly. I will be getting houge grips for it next. All and all Im very happy with this pistol.

Nice! I recently got one too.
Full disassembly and deep cleaning will do wonders. That red storage grease is evil. Hogue grips are $25 at Cabelas (I'd wait for the free shipping with no minimum promo, they do it every few weeks). I also installed 19 lb Wolff mainspring, it made a huge difference. Tip: run a brass wire inside the mainspring (between the spring and the strut), compress the spring, then tie off the wire. It will hold the spring compressed, and you should be able to remove / install the spring seat and its retaining pin easily. Once done, simply cut the wire and pull it out.

Do these guns have plastic hammer spring bases? Trying to figure out which spring to buy. I don't have the gun yet to look myself.

No. It is the "old style" long spring with long hammer strut and metal base.

Mine really likes 124g( impact is right behind front sight dot ). 147g is just above the front sight, better for target work.
