np22 pros and cons

Just wondering about the np22. Thinking about purchasing 2 for our first guns all my research seems to indicate that this would be a good starting point.

I am intending on eventually trying 3 gun. So with that in mind and the fact that I am not independently wealthy. Cost is a significant factor.

So constructive advice would be appreciated. Not just random ranting, I own a norinco cqa with lots of rounds through it. So please no norinco bashing.

I have a NP22 and I like it. It is not as good as quality finish as my Sig 229 but for the price you cant beat it. I do see that IRUNGUNS is selling Sig 250 in 9mm for $399 usd. That maybe worth considering never used one but it is a sig.

I have one, all is fine. Sights were off ( POI to right of POA ) and a b!tch to adjust, had the smith do it for me for $20. Added sig SRT trigger kit, no issues to date.

Although I just sold mine on ee...I really can't fault this pistol....it ran flawlessly from day one and the fit and finish were great...mags are a little hard to come bye, but I found two extras on here...buy one, I doubt you'll be dissapointed

I am not a pistol guy, so what would be a recommended holster for this gun. Just something that can be worn on belt. Not into plate carriers and chest rigs.

i love my Np22 better than my glock....the only problem is not having enough money to support my habit of shooting every weekend......: (

i picked one off a co-worker.
it was brand new, he never even shot it.
i was shocked by the fit and finish on it.
i am so use to the Norinco 1911's that i just assumed they did the fit and finish like that on all their guns.

so far i think its a fantastic pistol!
it goes bang every time i pull the trigger.
im not a sig fanboy so i dont shoot it a lot.
i just picked it up because my co-workder was flogging it for cheap and it was a great looking gun.

im sure i could shoot it more and it would work just fine but unfortunatlly i have guns that cost 5 times more that need to earn their keep first, haha!

but ill echo what was said above about the mags, i usually try to get 5 mags for every gun i own and this is the only one i havnt been able to do that with.
infact i have never seen NP22 mags for sale anywhere.
that may be something to keep in mind if your thinking of using this for 3 gun.
that said, i do believe i read somewhere that you can use sigs mags if you modify them(???) maybe someone can speak to that if they know more then me about this.

I bought a NP22 from the EE and it is a great gun. Quality is above what I expected. Made one improvement with Hogue grips on it (P226 ones) it runs fine, never a miss feed. Just bought 3 Sig mags off the EE as well and they are supposed to work, I will let you know how I make out.

What do you want the holster for? For ipsc a bladetech or bladetech doh works well at a lower price point, if you are just looking for a place to 'park' the pistol while at the range a simple nylon one is good, uncle mikes or similar brand is fine (and usually even cheaper).

Maybe been watching too many youtube videos... never liked the army stuff was issued, with the browning hi powers. Thats my only frame of reference. Will start simple and cheap and work my way up from there.

Thanks for all the great advice. Appreciate it.
