NP30 .45? Anyone own one?

Been thinking about buying one of these Nork 10-round .45s - http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/1911A1-NP-30.shtm

anyone have any experience with them? I am also looking at the Norinco 'Commander', as it's nice and small, but I do like the idea of 10 rounds... someone, help me decide!

...and before anyone says "just buy both!", I can't afford both

The only thing that is sort of negative about the double stack nork 1911's is that they take proprietary mags (only nork mags will fit). Nork mags are not the greatest. You can get all kinds of after market 10 round single stack mags for the commander. I shot spanky's a couple weeks ago and it was quite nice.

Very good purchase. Won't cost you more for mods. Extended controls are nice. I think the Commander is parked, while the 30 is blued.

They are a great gun for the price- the extended release, and ambi safety are a nice feature as well- I have put thousands of rounds through mine, no problems

I really like mine. It is seen thousands of rounds and is still nice and tight. The mags are definately the weak point. As was said above, they are proprietary to the gun. I haven't had any reliablitiy issues with the mags, but now with so much use, a couple of them phyiscally bulge when fully loaded and are difficult to insert in the magwell.

If you want a mag well, you'll have to make your own. Same with triggers.
