Hey fellas

Been a while since I’ve last posted. Quick recap I bought my first pistol on Boxing Day which was a Norinco NP34. I took it all apart, every piece slightly polished the trigger assembly and break down lever (it was so god damn right), and ceramic coated in a titanium colour. I also added hogue rubber grips.

Went out to urban tactical today out in brantford to shoot it for the first time (first time shooting a pistol as well) and out about 150 rounds through it. Man I sure did underestimate how hard it it to hit on target with a pistol and mind you this is the compact version so the sights are shorter. I got the bug though I came straight home and did a ton of reading on grip, shooting from a rest ya da ya da can’t wait to get back out there and practice practice practice.

Funny thing is a friend brought his ruger 1911 target out which is chambered in 45acp and I was deadly with it!

Here are some pics, hope they work.

Had mine now for 3 years, love it. Had great gunsmith do the trigger with an SRT kit. It is short and its all about your grip when ir comes to accuracy. My Army buddy shoots my NP34 so accurately way better then me.

Your gun looks AWESOME!!!!

Good looking pistol; I love the Titanium colour!

Regarding accuracy; I found it very easy to hit a target with a 1911 for beginners; I have a nork .45 with the adjustable rear sight in satin chrome, and I will let anybody try it out. I did own for a while a NP58, same pistol with the full length slide, but in .40 S & W. I had accuracy issues with it free-hand, but not from a rest. I eventually changed the hard plastic grips it came with with a set of Uncle Mike's rubber over-molded grips that we slightly smaller, and a lot more grippy, and almost immediately, I was shooting much better. I eventually sold that pistol because it was really picky on ammo; but when you had a bullet shape that would feed accuracy and reliability were not an issue at all. I still shoot .40, but through a full sized Jericho. The SIG style decocker is a superior design to that of the Jericho IMO. Had I kept that pistol, the one change I would have made would have been an extended Mag Release. It's a long reach for my short fingered hands.

I used to be the same regarding 45 vs 9.
Started with a 45 and much preferred the "push" vs the snap of the 9.
Great job on the gun!

No need to strip anything off the slide as the one i got was bare metal. I painted it with a high heat ceramic header paint, followed the instructions and heat cycled it in my oven.

I meant to clean the firing pin firing spring and the ejector lol, so you have problems with your magazines? I borrowed one and it won't hold 10 rounds, and is stiff to insert haha
