I have been researching norinco np34 issues and frame/rail breakage pops up on occasion. I am wondering if this is a real issue and what kind a life expectancy, round count these things typically achieve. Any experience out there would be appreciated. Thanks

Earlier models were built differently; the newer ones have an updated rail configuration that stands up very well.

Most people won't shoot that kind of 'milage'. Ammo gets expense and people who can afford to shoot lots have many guns or to spend that ammo thru a guns that match their budget a little better.

Yes, early ones were clones, but crappy Chinese aluminum did not stand up.
They redesigned the steel locking block to provide part of the frame rail, seems to have fixed the issue.
