Ok, so I confirmed the other day it wasn't just me... Fired the pistol again, from a bench, had a friend shoot it, compared the front sight to my friend's and confirmed that the front sight is indeed off. It's off in the exact direction that would cause it to shoot left.

SO! Fast forward to today! Got a hold of a pistol sight pusher for the weekend, and it's the legit Sig Sauer one. The theory behind zeroing the pistol I get, but what should I be weary of? I've read from past posts on other sights that the irons can be a pain in the butthole.

I'm at work tonight, but will be attempting the push afterwards.

Feed me your knowledge/experience with Norinco sights!

That pain in the butthole thing with irons is, first they don't move, and when they let go they "jump" too far...to get it where you want, apply pressure with the sight pusher, but don't push it. Instead, tap the pusher with a hammer gently...if it didn't move enough, repeat until you're where you like it to be.

With the newer sig. The dovetail are cut very shallow so that they dont let the sight jump off. Cant speak for norinco

With a pusher, you should be able to make small adjustments. Not so easy with a drift and a hammer.

Use a pencil to make a witness mark on the sight and frame, so you can see how much you moved. I do the adjustments at the range, so I can get it right.

With a front sight, you move the sight the opposite way you want the bullet holes to go. That is, if your group is to the left, move the front sight to the left.

For me, a typical first adjustment is about 2mm.

For me, the gun shot of a rest hits a different place than when I shoot standing with 2 hands. Are you good enough to shoot without the rest?

If I know I am going to be adjusting a sight, I give it a shot of penetrating oil the day before. Can't hurt. Some Norcs are really tight. Some are almost loose.

Here's a post I did about an NP22 sight a year or more ago. I would be really surprised if your sight pusher works on your 34.

I haven't installed them, and won't until I reach 2k.

I did try to drift the sights though.

At first I was civilized and tried tapping it with a small hammer and brass punch. Didn't move.

Alright, slapped it in the vice and brought out the big hammer. Didn't move.

Then I got pissed. I put some WD40 on the rear sight and stuffed the slide in the freezer for an hour. I took it out and tightened it down in the vice as hard as I could and used my Dead On wrecking hammer to whack the brass punch. Didn't move a bit.

#### that, I got out an old 20lb steel dumbbell, let out a war cry, and hit the brass punch as hard as I could with it. Didn't move.

Then I tried to drift the front sight, I may have moved it a tiny bit before it stopped cooperating. I don't want to force the front sight anymore and risk breaking it.

Suggestions?

Well, I read this thread before I dove in... Well... It worked... Moved the sight over to what I had originally figured out with science and maths... I was worried, after reading some horror stories on other websites... However, after a few gentle(ish) turns I heard a little creaking noise... Looked at the sight, and noticed this gnarly brown patch from where the sight had moved.

A great success! Off to the range tomorrow for some more fine tuning.

Thanks lads.

And which direction did you push the front sight?
