Before I bought the pistol I read everywhere online that the NP58 takes Sig Saur mags, so I bought a couple of them. Got my Np58 today and non of the sig mags will lock into place in the pistol. They all fit, just don't lock into place. Any idea on this, other then it being a Norcino using sig mags?

Take a file to the hole for the magazine catch - file it upwards about 1mm or so. File, test fit, repeat. I've done it to a few Sig mags for the NP-22.

I believe the newer sig mags don't fit, but older ones do. SO you will have to file the top of the mag catch hole a bit like already posted. Now the nice thing is the Norc Mags fit perfectly in all Sigs. Go figure :-/

I had to file off about 3mm off the base of the gun to allow new sig 226 10 rd mags to fit in the gun. You have to take the grips off to do this. I did not file down the grips so the sig 226 mag is a flush fit to the base of the grips. Gun works with both the Norinco and Sig mags without adjusting the magazine catch.

Also had to polish the feed ramp on my NP58.

After these two fixes, the gun has worked very well.
