Even without the tarrif it's pretty steep, the carbon/stainless barrel is a new idea for a lever that's for sure. It jives nicely with the railed foreend but makes the painted wood stock look out of place.

A carbon fiber rear stock would suit the gun(and price) nicely, preferably with some easy access water proof storage inside.... :)
Even the latest "space cowboy" lever action rear stocks that are on the market would suit the gun better then painted wood.

Edit, just looked at the link and they list the stock as "Lightweight American Hardwood Laminate Stock"
Seems like a contradiction, or an insult to American Hardwood..... :)

No doubt with a supressor up front, a rear stock with a bit of weight would help ballance the feel, but I'd rather add my own custom ballast inside a nice lightweight carbon fiber stock if possible.

3k+ is a bit too much. Not quite as bad as Canadian made overpriced stuff, but getting up there. If I had the $ id probably still get it.. love my Henry's.
