NRL22.Canada, 2024

Have you contacted the Nicola valley rod and gun club?
They are usually open to hosting these kind of events and are central located for people from Kamloops kelowna or Vancouver.

I have always been interested in getting out to an event but I have no idea what it entails? Like what would be the maximum distance at the lower Trent valley? Is it an easy process to just sign up and come out? Thanks!

For NRL22 the monthly course of fire are set so everyone shoots the same to fit in National standings, if you want to pay attention to that kind of thing
Take a look at any one of these cof to get an idea of targets and props

Matches are newbie-friendly, guys are always friendly and will to help, ime

Can I just sign up and show up with a stock Ruger precision rimfire with a scope on it and give it go?

Never mind, I just realized these are all in British Columbia lol

They are all across Canada and I expect to see a lot more. The big draw vs ORPS is that NRL22 Canada shoots will qualify a guy to shoot stateside at the nationals if you are good enough.

Outlaw Rimfire PS can be a good challenge for many shooters, not the same difficulty level as NRL22 or even BCPRL or CRPS matches
Any of them are only as competitive as the shooter wants to make it, participation can be enough

The target sizes in NRL22 are a touch smaller. A bit more movement and much more complicated engagement sequences. Pretty steep curve for newer shooters.

The best learning is by doing. It was everyones first shoot at one time. ORPS is probably best to get comfortable if new to firearms. As Emerson mentioned the others matches are a quantum leap in comparison of difficulty and skill level. No one likes to shoot many rounds and hit very little. Its frustrating for them.

Anybody in Prince George, B.C. want to try an improvised version of the Feb or March COF with me? Would like to try it and see if its something that would be a good fit with our club.
