NS522 bolt

Really looking fwd to getting mine, should arrive this week. As for the stock... I'm gonna replace it with a more custom setup that Ill do on my own. thinking laminate birch in a biathlon stock setup.

RED

It came covered in a light oil, easily wiped clean. It seems really well built. I just wish it had some sights. I have not shot it yet.

Not at all tricky to take the bolt apart, it only took me one pull :)
I haven't got a chance to clean it (ain't nobody got time for dat), but really needs it before going shooting.

Yes, the bolt fell apart in my hands, too -- and I spent the next hour trying to figure out how to reassemble it.
It sure would be nice to have a user manual with a rifle breakdown shown with all the parts.

Overall, a very solid feeling to the rifle. Too bad the stock is so roughly and cheaply finished (on the inside).

Since it is CanAm's sub-forum, I won't post the link, but if you google the "em332 rifle" there is a link with a full diagram of the bolt assembly broken down in an instruction manual.

Got my rifle yesterday, and broke it down to clean off the packing oil. The bolt is simple to break down, and the machine work looks good for the most part and as for the stock, I'm going to see how it shoots before put any work into it.

If I do get around to re-doing the stock, I'm thinking just inlaying some wood or epoxy in the cut for the handle and shaping to fit.

Thanks, but I did get it together even without an illustration. There's only so many ways five pieces fit together.
The manual will be nice though.

Just back from the range. NS522 shot a very tight group with CCI SV. 15 shots, all under 1" for 60m (.22lr silhouette Pig). I am sure it can be better if I was using a good rifle rest and play with the scope parallax.

I polished the trigger group and cleaned the whole gun and the bolt.

The bolt open and close quite tight, hope it will get better with use.

It takes a lot more effort to pull back the bolt and eject the case, when comparing to my CZ.

I am hoping for 2 stage trigger (EM322), it is only 1 stage.

The trigger has some play, and non adjustable afaik.

I am happy with it. Btw, CanadaAmmo shipped mine in one day after placing the order. THANK YOU!

This gun is an Anschutz knockoff. I think it's the Anschutz 1710 or 1712 series so the manuals for the 1710 or 12 might be the one to look for if you want any assembly/dis assembly information for the NS522. The reviews I have read on this Norinco are pretty good as far as accuracy goes. Money well spent in my opinion.

CanAM?

Do you folks have access to the single shot adapter for this rifle, or do you know if the Anschutz single shot adapter is compatible?

Thanks.
