ZING!

I've never understood the need for some members to slag Norinco products??? I'm of the opinion that I would rather someone HAVE a Norinco, than NO GUN AT ALL!!!

I own several Norinco firearms, and I'm happy with them, they suit my plinking at the range AND I've even taken two deer with my M14. I'm looking forward to seeing what the NS522 can do at the range!

Cheers

There is definitely some Nork bashing on this board, I won't argue that. But there is just as much " my Nork is better/as good as your "###x" that costs 3 times as much " which is equally annoying and unrealistic.
It's usually when that happens that the bashing begins.
Keep in mind the people that hate them probably owned one at one time or another and are basing judgment on comparisons, not just to be dicks.
Realisticly we tolerate/accept a lot lower level of quality then US or any other countries commercial firearms, and that's fine because we pay less, sometimes much less.
Nobody is saying they don't generally work and shoot well, just that they are truely budget firearms with all the flaws that come with that price point.

all true, I enjoy the fact that they affordably put more guns in peoples safes to enjoy, and the more passion for the sport in Canada the better, whether you enjoy tinkering with a $50 gun you bought at an auction or a $4000 gun you bought to compete in matches, we are all in the same boat and love the same sport and should stick together in the end, but like the leafs and habs and ford and chev, a little friendly kidding around never hurt anybody, lol

Mine finally arrived yesterday afternoon, I was surprised that I had to sign for it four times, and the delivery fella took a picture of a label on the carton that I signed as well. I guess Canpar really beefed up their delivery procedures lately, any of you fellas have the same process when recieving your package from Canpar?

KFS has mags for $60US each.....gun with 2 mags is $199CAD. I would pay $20 for a mag at the most.... I know they are "rare" but they are also made like ####. I'm positive there are common mags out there that can be modded to fit these guns.....it's a square 22lr mag, there has to be someone making something like that we can cut a hole in...

I don't see why Norinco can't make more mags available right from the factory.

I was wondering when they would run out of NS522 rifles, remains to be seen if they have more to add to the inventory... They did that last time they 'ran out'...

Cheers

At some point they must run out. I just wonder how many actually made it into Canada. The number of rifles ordered by KFS is usually pegged at 2000-2500. Internet lore holds that some 2000 were sold in the US, while another 450-500 barrelled actions somehow showed up sans bolts. The story went that the bolts, which were supposed to be shipped later, fell under the import ban on Chinese arms and were never delivered. This left KFS looking for a domestic maker for the missing bolts. Over the many years since, KFS sold a few 522s here and there, but by 2012 seemed to be all out of rifles ready to ship. Then the Canadian contingent of rifles showed up. They bear the "KFS" import mark, but where they came from is a mystery. Were they part of the 450-500 barrelled actions sent without bolts? Where did they acquire their 332 stocks? Who knows?

I wanted a light and inexpensive semi for my girls but wanted to handle one before buying. Found some at CT and it felt ok. Lite and tight. So decided to order one today from CanadaAmmo but were back to normal price and was disappointed i was not quick enough. But...Boum! Back at 125$ so jumped on the chinese train. First time for me. Hope it will do well on next partridge hunt.

doctordeals.com has a few NS522-s but no extra magazines and no JW20-s.

Don't ya just hate stores that do that? Pulling the spare mag is a low down & dirty move to make a couple extra bucks selling the mag seperately! I can't remember who was doing this with the M14's, but it sure made me decide NOT to deal with them!
