I have had a NS522 for a couple of years and really like it. It came with a pair of 5 shot mags.
Thanks to CGN, I am told that the 10 shot magazine for a Scorpio EM332A will fit.
Today I bought a Scorpio ($199 at Tenda) and yes, the mag fits the NS522 (and vice versa). They look to be identical, except for length, and the lck of a scallop at the front edge of the mag.
It is a tight fit. After a few inserts I can see some bluing scrapes on the back of the mag. A pass or two with a fine file should make it a smooth fit and click.
The Scorpio stock is ugly to my eye, but feels excellent in the aim. I like it.
I don't care for the open sights. My old eyes won't work with them.
So I installed a peep sight. ($15 on ebay)
The Scorpio barrel is short (20") and only 0.60" at the muzzle. The NS522 is 0.75 at the muzzle.
The NS522 is obviously a hammer forged barrel. I don't see any hammer marks on the Scorpio.
I will put a 20X scope on the new rifle and shoot both of them at 50 yards with a variety off ammo and see what they like.
Note: I took a file to the top front of the 10 shot mag and thinned it a bit and cut in a slight scallop. The mag now clicks into place and releases easily. It was the thinning that did it. The steel is very hard. Well made mags.
