Number of grooves

I have never used anything other than 6-groove custom barrels, are there any significant advantages with going to 4 grooves in a cut-rifle barrel?

the general idea behind 5R rifling, Lilja 3-groove, polygonal rifling, shilens ratchet-rifling, etc is less bullet distortion and better sealing at the corners of the grooves.

So far, conventional rifling with a straight hole, consistent rate of twist, consistent bore diameter, and smooth finish seem to provide all the accuracy that can be gotten.
