What bullet make model and caliber has the highest sectional density?

6.5 mm bullets look like pencil stubs.

They have great SD and BC for sure but so do some of the big bores with match bullets. 450 gr 416 for example.

The old .333 Jeffery 300 gr. bullet has an s.d. of .386, next down the list is the 300 gr. .338" and the 550 gr. .458", both with s.d.'s of .375. Those are the highest I've been able to find. Note how a small increase in diameter, from .333 to .338, results in a big change in the s.d., so don't get too caught up in the numbers.

I was just interested in what was the highest. I was aware of the 458 and the 338. I doubt I'll ever load 550s in my 458 wm as the 500 gr does just fine

I remember seeing custom solid .50 BMG bullets with a BC above 1.0 but I dont remember where.
