$42.50 USPS shipping for $25 Webley MKIV grips. What the h..ll is that about? Said $7.50 when I placed the order.

I heard they have like a $40 minimum shipping charge to Canada. I'm sure if you were willing to deal with the hassle, a few friends would go in on a order with you for various things and make it more worth the cost.

This is what we do. My dad and I wait until we have a big enough order to make it worthwhile and order all together while trying to keep under the maximum international order limit lol. It's a bit of a balancing act.

Yup they charge a handling charge for all international orders. I had to do it for a $3 spring. Thing is, without the spring the gun was just a paperweight

I always find the pricing from US dealers etc a bit frustrating. Some places will charge $15, others $40 - even for a padded envelope that actually costed only $5.

Duty and brokerage are also frustrating. Depending on the value of the order, it is often worth paying for expedited shipping because it typically covers brokerage and duty up front. I hate paying $40 for standard shipping only to be slapped with $100 for brokerage and duty, when I could have paid $60 up front and been done with it.

Embarrassed to say I don't know who numrich is.

Having said that, not all US retailers are bad. Brownells, in particular has been great. Friendly and prompt. That kind of service keeps me coming back. Did you really need a spring that Brownell's doesn't have?

Sorry to hear your bad experiance.

Rob!

Numerich buys out parts for old and obsolete firearms or guns that are no longer in production. They have stuff you just can't get anywhere else. Like some have said, you try to pad your order with as much stuff as you can, but once in a while you need just that one part. I have about $15 worth of stuff that I can't get anywhere else, but have been going thru my other need lists before I order, but sometimes it's just the cost of an already expensive hobby

Guns, if the package gets to your hotel before you that shouldn't be a problem. On the shipping address instead of just putting your name and the hotel address, put "Guest (my name)" and the hotel's address. They should receive it, check their computer, see you are checking in soon, and hold it.

Got this via email "We'd like to express our appreciation by offering you a free Schematic!"

Is that going to be free + a $40 IH handling charge!!!!

How's Numrich with us Canucks in general? They've got some HK parts I'm thinking about ordering.

Numrich are great! We've ordered a ton of stuff from them and their service is fantastic. There are a few items that are controlled and they won't ship for example folding shotgun and rifle stocks but if you happen to select an item that they won't ship they will notify you and give you the option to cancel, modify or continue with the remainder of your order.
