numrich jungle carbine flash hider

The unit with the smaller ID needs to be finished to fit the muzzle of your barrel.

It's intended for barrels that have been cut back from full length No4 barrels.

You will also notice the smaller ID unit isn't drilled for the retaining pins, nor are the pins included

I've used these before, to replace the units often found on No5 rifles, where someone ground off the bayo lug.

These can be hit or miss that the bayo will attach easily. A few I've gotten, had to be very slightly reprofiled to accept the original bayos

However, they seem to accept the RFI made bayos without issue.

Isn’t it the other way around? The larger dia meant for cut down No. 4?

What is the profile of the No. 5 compared to the No. 4? I know about the cuts in the knox form but always assumed the dia was the same. Clearly that’s not the case.

Here is dads jc that he removed the original.you can see the definite shoulder that it would butt against. I am a bit concerned that there are no pins with the smaller one so not sure what will hold it in place. I ordered the .590 from numrich today and it’s seems shipping to Canada is fine .

They do work but are a pain. You will need to wrap shim material to make it fit. Then the pins might not line up. My last one didn't so I wound up soldering it on. After that it was fine and looked like it belonged. And no, Numrich will not ship such a dangerous piece.

Apparently it has been shipped !, hopefully it makes it across the border!
I’m hoping the difference from .581 to .590 will let it fit on fairly close and then a thin layer of jb weld to secure it. Numrich also had the correct 800 sight so one of those on the way too.

I expect that a bonding agent could be used to secure the unit in place.
Drilling holes half in the barrel and half in the flash hider can be interesting.

Yes, my bad.
