My wife would like a pair of NV Binoculars (or possibly monocular) for Christmas. I'm not looking for anything military grade or high end, but commercial grade and functional. I suspect that $ will limit me to Gen I or digital and I'd think I'd prefer Gen I vs digital, but that may simply be my own bias. Let's be clear here this is something for the family to play with when camping or at the cottage, nothing much else beyond that.
Any thoughts, experience or recommendations would be welcome (Digital, image intensifier, brand, models, where to buy etc.)
