Hello everyone, just wondering if someone can tell me where I can get a wilcox shroud, and full G24 mounting kit with the tether cord attached to the mount etc in black if possible in Canada? Cheers

I'd give Millbrook Canada a call. They've handled Wilcox in the past, although their site is currently empty.

Pricey mounts, but some of the best I've ever used. Sometimes you can find surplus models for a good deal, but you're less likely to get exactly the shroud/arm setup you want.

I have sent Millbrook an email. As I'm not sure if they sell to the public or not and asked about the G24. Wait and see. Thanks for the tip.

Just wondering if anyone with night vision and have used norotos dual dovetail adapter? And your thoughts on it. Are there any Canadian stores that carry them?

I've owned both the Norotos DDA and Wilcox J-Arm.

Norotos DDA is more stable and puts the NOD closer to your eye. It is however chunkier and blocks more of your field of view on your non NOD eye. I also find it extremely inconvenient to have to pop it on and off the mount to swap sides. Gen 1 was completely non adjustable, which is moronic for something of that cost. Gen 2 has one dovetail adjustable for windage, the other dovetail is not. You can remove both dovetails and swap them, but I don't understand why Norotos would charge so much money and be so ####ing cheap about it.

Wilcox J-Arm is not as stable, and wobbles a tiny bit out of the box. Over time, it develops more wobble in the arm as the locking pin begins to wear. It is also adjustable for windage by adjusting the locking angle of the arm, and correcting height using the mount adjustment itself. It is however lighter and lower profile than the Norotos DDA, and uses a thumb screw instead of a big Phillips. Advantage of this is that you can easily remove the monocular from the arm, whereas with a DDA you pretty much leave it screwed in, and if you don't use threadlocker then you're kinda ####ed if it loosens up during use and you don't have tools.

I much prefer the Wilcox J-Arm, but some people prefer the DDA.

Thank you for the info Z. I'm not 100% on which mount to get just yet. But the DDA just makes sense better then the wilcox J-Arm does. I will check out spuhr, can I ask why you chose this one?
