I have a Nylon 66 that my deceased uncle owned... had his name and address carved on the side. It has a lot of sentimental value to the family. The stock is cracked though and I cannot find a spare around anywhere. I even asked on rimfirecentral. Anyone know of where I might be able to search for one?

It'd be neat to have one carved or made out of newer synthetics but I doubt that'll happen... lol.

sorenson

in bc might do a stock that is partially inletted from robertson,

you need a schematic of the action for Ian to tell you if any of thier stocks would be clost to an inlet that would work, not too likely

Jeff

send it off to dennis sorenson good guy

I'm aware that it may cost more than the rifle is worth, but unless I can find a rusted out one with a good stock, I will have to go that route. If this was just a rifle kicking around, I would probably part it out. However it has great sentimental value and deserves to be 100% :)

It's an idea...

It's beyond repair unfortunately..

I've done it before, actually. PM me a pic, I'll see if it can be done, IMHO. For a "novice" fiddler like me, taking down the Nylon 66 is too much of a fright (yea, I admit it :p), but there are stocks you can buy online, if you don't mind the assembly/disassembly factor.

If true (and you have the necessary paperwork?), this sounds much better:

Fry, Remington guranted the nylon stock for life. Call or write to Remington.

Hope it turns out well!
