Hello,

I am still researching to try to find a handgun that will be cheap to shoot, accurate and reliable.

Anybody had any experience with the Norinco NZ copies?

I am considering NZ75 or NZ85.

Thanks

you could always buy a Norinco Tokarev to impress your critics!!!

still waiting for mine............ it meets 2 outta 3 for your criteria according to some gunnutz. those being cheap as hell and reliable. accurate though? i'll make that call when the damn thing finally gets here.

Nz85

I have one, the finish and looks are better than the 75. Reliable and accurate, used it in competition, no problems so far. Though I don't rank among the tops, I don't get to be the lowest, more practice maybe. The looks are a real CZ except for the grip angle (which is similar to Tanfoglio) and the sharp instead of a rounder edge which houses the recoil spring/guide rod on CZ models.

I like my NZ-85 quite a bit, the two biggest issues are the sights and the slide serrations, it's a pain to grip and the sights could be better, otherwise a very nice gun.

Hey, sir Colin, were you the one who changed the grips to Hogues? May I ask if CZ grips are compatible with the NZ?

Yep, I put the Hogue finger groove grips on mine, I like them a lot and no problems fitting them. The stock grips are better than the ones for the NP-22 and are useable.

Thanks sir Colin! BTW, a lot of guys here only mentions the 9mm CZ and Sig clones, any feedbacks on the Norc CZ clone in .40?

Some .40s were sent back, no idea why.....no 85 back afaik, and I know nobody who has a 75. I think for those who prefer DA, 75 is best. Looks like a hammer block.....safer.

Its ok sir, I'm pretty much contented with my NZ85. I'll just have it chromed since I hate rubbing those rust build ups. If you have finger calluses, try racking the slide by hooking the rear sight with the outside part of your index/pointer finger (weak hand). Fellow competition shooters near my place use that method including me, its pretty fast and you don't get scratch from the frame or the ambi safety while racking it.
