O’Dell Benelli M4 Clone :)

Ok I just discovered this thread and am interested for a new range toy without spending a bag full of money for the amount I'll use it. Going online I see 2 versions available. One is the Kommando, and the other is called a Canuck operator. Are these the same gun with different labels, or is there a difference?

Same importer and same gun :)

Same gun, some differance, mostly cosmetic, like sights and one has chrome bits , the big difference being that the Canuck operators mag is block for 5 rounds of 3inch shells and the kommando's mag seem to be block for 5 rounds of 2 3/4 shells .

I got the Canuck Operator took it to the range today and had quite a bit of cycling issue -particularly failure to feed (the front of the casing would get snagged on the ejection port side when the bolt attempts to chamber the round). I thought it maybe due to lack of lubrication so I took it home, clean and relube it and the issue persists with cycling. I'm not sure if this is to be expected when breaking in and would like your input on it. If I cycle the bolt by riding it, there's no snag, but the faster the cycling the higher the incidence of getting snagged.

What kind of ammo are you running through it?

Do you see a cut mark on the front of the shells that jam on feeding?

My 15SA does this with certain cheap, soft hull ammo.

I'm just spitballing , sounds like the issue is with the shell lifter, its not presenting the round in the right place , at the right time for the bolt to chamber it , weak spring , just a thought .

EDIT: upon tinkering I noted that the rounds cycle/ failed to cycle depends on the position of the shell (if shell casing is in the rear most area, it almost always jam, whereas if the shell is placed closest to barrel end it does not.

Has anyone else with a Canuck Operator had that cycling problem and solved it? Mine is a jam o matic with feed problems too.

Any type of ammo, 4-5 times per box. Jams on the ejection port side with the shell crammed into the front end of the ejection port.

Thanks for any tips!

Jeff

Anyone have any extra info on this?
