O.K. then what are your five favorite pistols or revolvers ?

Sir John - I am suprised to see the P345 on your list.

This speaks volumes about mature perspective on value!

;)

If I could make up a list of my favorite 5, regardless of current legislation:

Sig P220-1 .45ACP for open carry / duty / defensive games
Glock 19 9mm for CCW (with un-neutered mags)
S&W 686 .357mag - would be tough to decide on 4" or 6" - might have to compromise on 5"
Browning HP 9mm - Everything the 1911 tried to be, but better
A .22LR pistol or revolver - I haven't yet figured out which one I prefer - have only owned 2 (Ruger Mark II and Mark III 22/45); neither are perfect.

1/ S&W 44 Mag, model 29, 4" with factory ivory
2/ Colt Python 357 Mag, 6" early production
3/ S&W model 500, 8 3/8"
4/ Colt Diamondback 22LR, 4"
5/ Ruger 44 Mag Blackhawk, (Flattop) factory staghorn, 6 1/2"
:)

Right now, it would be the five that I've shot since I got my ATT, namely:

Browning Buckmark Bullseye Target URX, .22LR
S&W 15-5, .38spl
S&W 686-8, .357mag
S&W 29-2, .44mag
S&W 1911DK, .45ACP

All of them an absolute joy to shoot. S&W make a decent gun, fo sho.

Well since i only own 5 handguns, that's easy.
HK P2000
HK P7
STI RangerII
HK HK45
HK USP

Glad to see I'm not the only one who tends to be faithful to a brand... I realized recently that half of my guns are Smiths, and a third a Sigs. I didn't really plan it, it just turned out that way.

.22 - High Standard model Citation (I have not shot my Trophy yet)
.38 - S&W model 66 (or my PPC S&W 586)
9mm - Custom early pre-B CZ-75
.45 - Gold Cup National Match

Hard to pick a fifth gun. Maybe my .38 - S&W model 52-2.
I'm sure my 44 magnum S&W model 29 (my 6 1/2" barreled one) could make the list if I ever get around to shooting it. Had it for about three years and still have not shot it yet.

does it have to be 5, even the ms. america pagent starts with 50 some hopefuls.

of what i own, the 5 narrowed down for this poll, if one was to be "bury with" (i actually prefer cremation - an option for those who would still like to think outside of the box, lol)

44 amp automag
valtro 45 auto
colt python 6 inch
smith 29, 6.5 inch 44
belgium browning hi power

Kinda the same thing here. I first got the USP because it was the closest to what we had at work(P2000). Then, P2000s became available on the market, so I bought one. Then Walter at Arms East had a smoking deal on the P7 so I bought one too. I was always intrigued by the squeezecock mechanism(no ### inuendos). All of those are in 9mm, so I wanted to step away from it and diversify, because afterall, it is the spice of life, right? Then I saw Wolverine had the HK45 and I heard great reviews about it. It seemed to have better ergos than my USP, so I bought it.

The ruger, because it is 1. double action for the first round, 2. it is a .45, 3. Rugers don't break, and 4. it's my ccw gun.;)

Though I sometimes carry my Taurus .45LC snubby. So many favourites , 5 is too restrictive. Also like my PPK and PPK/s and the Dan Wesson .357
