Honestly there are a lot of options and I mostly shoot pistols so don’t know much about O/U. I don’t want to buy something I’m going to regret but can’t justify dropping to much on a gun I’m going to use once in a while. I’m looking at old used b guns but I can’t find one with interchangeable chokes. It’s either going to be the Canuck or an old Beretta S55 but, I’m having a hard time deciding. I guess I just gotta make a choice and live with it.

I got two Turkish O/U guns a few months back
Both Huglu made ones which are the better Turk made ones
Well one of them turned out to be a lemon and it was the 1500 dollar one not the cheaper one
And of course I can’t get any warranty so it’s getting fixed by other means
I don’t shoot a ton of trap either but said F it and got a base model BT-99 from Prophet to use from now on
If something happens to it at least there will be service available for it
I agree with what the others said and get a better gun to start with
For what I paid for the two Turk made guns, it was more then what I paid for the Browning.
In reality I paid 2400 bucks for a 900 gun because the other one turned out to be trash
The BT-99 was just under 2100

I have a Browning citori 1985 superlight
I used to shoot ducks wit it and used very heavy reloads.
guns is like new after 40 years
You don't need a warranty
No experience with beretta but would assume as good or better than the Browning
Winchester Model 101 is another good choice

The thing about trap and skeet is you start with the idea of shooting a couple hundred shells a year; then quickly find yourself shooting that a day.

It took me a few minutes to reconcile "only" and "200 rounds"... As in, if you're going to shoot 5,000 shells a year, I'd want something nice...

Trap and skeet require different chokes, barrel lengths and stocks.
Typically a longer barrel for trap will give a longer more accurate sight radius and usually choked full, with a buttstock that holds your face up so the gun shoots a bit high so you do not have to cover a raising bird and lose sight of it.
Skeet is usually a 26 inch barrel for easier swinging, the birds cross a stake at 21 yards, so the choke is very open and a standard height stock.
One gun does not work well.

You are very out of touch with skeet, the most common barrel length now is 30", and 32" is becoming more popular.
The beavertail fore ends are gone, replaced with slimmer, lighter fore ends.
I think to start I'm going to go with this route and get myself a Citori later depending on how much I actually shoot. I was wondering if you have an recommendations. I was looking for the CZ 712 G3 but, cant find the 26 inch barrel version for sale.
There are many fine semi autos that people will suggest to you. In the $1K range I picked up a Mossberg 940 Pro Field two months ago and it’s been a very nice firearm for the money, used it at Trap a few times and it crushes them just fine. I still mostly use my Churchill 812 O/U but the 940 semi is growing on me for sure
